I am a participant from Singapore who attended the 4-day intensive Bodyguard Training Course in October 2024, held in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, and hosted by MJ Global Bodyguard Malaysia.
The entire experience was extremely valuable. I gained both skills and knowledge from experienced instructors, many of whom are former or current members of the PDRM (Royal Malaysia Police). The training modules covered various essential topics such as etiquette and protocol, advanced vehicle and foot drills, and an introduction to local laws — including the dos and don’ts, as well as the rights and responsibilities of a professional bodyguard.
One of the most memorable moments was the "Reaction to Attack" training on the third day. We took part in a live escort simulation, transporting a VIP from one location to another by vehicle and foot. At the final drop-off point, we were suddenly ambushed in a surprise attack by a mystery assailant arranged by MJ Global. It was dark, and the situation caught us off guard, but thanks to the training we had received throughout the course, we were able to respond effectively and professionally.
Beyond the training itself, the hospitality provided was excellent. We were well taken care of with full meals, comfortable accommodation on the second level, and classrooms located on the third level, which made everything convenient, especially when transitioning between theory and practical sessions.
Most importantly, I was able to build a strong network with participants from diverse backgrounds. Although I am not a local, I was treated with respect and kindness throughout the course. I truly appreciate the camaraderie and support from everyone involved.
I highly recommend this course to fellow security professionals or anyone interested in becoming a qualified bodyguard. I look forward to future opportunities to collaborate with the network I’ve gained during this training. - Siri 6/2024
